07/09/2009 - Dominican Republic striker Jonathon Frias registered a beavertrick and Sierra Leone striker Alusine Bangura a hattrick as W Connection dumped bottom of the table Police FC 8-0 on Friday afternoon at the Ato Boldon Stadium. W Connection moved up one spot on the standings into fifth following the rescheduled Round One Match Day Eleven match and are now with 32 points, one point behind fourth positioned Ma Pau SC, three points behind third positioned san Juan Jabloteh and five points away from Caledonia AIA of Morvant Laventille and leaders Bmobile Joe Public. Brazilian Igor Santos opened the scoring for the Stuart Charles Fevrier side in the 5th minute as Connection went on to a 5-0 score at the break. Santos’ item was followed by Jonathon Frias’ 12th, 39th and 42nd minutes strikes and a 17th minute item by mid-season signing Alusine Bangura before the half. Frias completed his beavertrick in the 62nd minute and Bangura wrapped up his hattrick netting a secondhalf double(75th and 83rd minutes) as the 2009 Caribbean Club Champions W Connection enjoyed a comfortable 8-0 victory. Connection with two matches in hand will be in action again on Sunday when the visit Tobago United from 4pm at the Plymouth Recreation Ground in a rescheduled Round Two Match Day Eight match and on Tuesday when they host Ma Pau SC from 5pm at the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium in a Round Two Match Day Eleven clash.
